YORK COUNTY––Yorktown’s Sounds of Summer concerts kick off Thursday, June 3 at Riverwalk Landing in Historic Yorktown. The series runs Thursday nights from 7 to 9:30 p.m. through Aug. 12, with no concert on July 1.
Opening the 10-week series is Tidewater Drive Band followed by an exciting schedule that includes some bands that are new to the waterfront including Bachelor Boys Band, The Uptown Band, and Another Level, according to Gail Whittaker, York County public information officer.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy dinner or dessert at any of Historic Yorktown’s waterfront restaurants including Water Street Grille, Riverwalk Restaurant, Carrot Tree, Umi Sushi, Ben and Jerry’s, Yorktown Pub, and Larry’s, said Whittaker. Water Street Grille will also have grab-and-go options inside the concert area for those in attendance.

- June 24 — Brasswind.
- July 8 — Slapnation.
- July 15 — Bachelor Boys Band.
- July 22 — Band of Oz.
- July 29 — Soul Expressions.
- Aug. 5 — The Uptown Band.
- Aug. 12 — Another Level.
