Tribute to Robert Burns set for Jan. 21 in Kilmarnock

The Kilmarnock & District Pipe Band will hold its afternoon “Tribute to Robert Burns” event January 21 at the Masonic Lodge #100, 1434 Goodluck Road, Kilmarnock. Doors will open at 1 p.m. and the program will begin at 2 p.m.

Changes to the event include a ticket price reduction, an afternoon program, and focus on a concert and entertainment instead of dinner, reported pipe sergeant William Harrison. The event will offer snacks and setups to enhance the edibles (BYOB) brought by audience members.

Tickets are $30 each and are available at The Local in Irvington, Chesapeake Bank in Kilmarnock, Blue Ridge Bank branches in Kilmarnock and White Stone and Primis Bank in Burgess.

Checks can also be mailed in by calling John at 577-3349. Tickets will be mailed to senders.
