Time for a Blind Date with a Book

The Rev. Nancy Clark adds wrapped books to the Little Free Library behind St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 435 East Church Street, Kilmarnock.

Each February, St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Kilmarnock invites readers on a Blind Date with a Book.

This is an opportunity to choose a book “not by its cover,” said St. Andrews session member Susan May.

Stop by any St. Andrews Little Free Library and choose a wrapped book by the blurb on the wrapping for a reading surprise.

Blind Date coincides with International Book Giving Day on February 14.

“New this year, we have added Play Date with a Book for younger readers,” said May.

The church maintains 15 book exchange boxes in the community.
