NNK 250 is the semi quincentennial (250th anniversary) of the founding of the United States of America and Westmoreland’s role.
The 2nd Sunday Art Show opening June 9, 1-5 p.m., titled “Power of Place, Westmoreland County,” will feature original works depicting historic buildings, themes and vistas that capture the essence of this region, reported director Janice Jones-Miano.
Visitors can expect to see a diverse array of artistic expressions, including pen and ink drawings by Faith Gaillot, fiber art by Anne McCahill, drawings by Frankie Riley and paintings by Orkendell Ford. The Arts Center of Montross takes great pride in presenting the many faces of Westmoreland County as portrayed by these outstanding artists, said Jones-Miano.
The Arts Center of Montross invites the community to join in this celebration of the power of place and support the talented artists who have dedicated their craft to preserving and honoring the region’s legacy, she said.
