Advance tickets are now on sale
Advance tickets and members only ticket packages are now in the mail and on sale for the Deltaville Maritime Museum’s (DMM’s) Groovin’ in the Park 2023, a casual, waterfront, concert series. The warm weather and music will be here before you know it, so it’s time to grab your ticket savings early for the 2023 Groovin’ season. This will be the 15th season of Groovin’ fun and music at DMM.
Groovin’ in the Park 2023 will feature five regular and two special performances, for a total of seven concerts!
Groovin’ in the Park is the Deltaville Maritime Museum’s casual, outdoor, concert series held in our waterfront park on Mill Creek. Groovin’ is a bring your own lawn chair and picnic event. Hot food and ice cold beverages will be available. The gates will always be open one hour before the concerts for picnicking.

Opening with the ever-popular harmonies of the Flat Tones, Groovin’ in the Park 2023 takes you on a musical journey capping off in September with the award-winning blues guitarist Tom Euler.

• 6-8 p.m. Saturday, May 6 — Flat Tones, everybody’s favorites and harmonies
• 5-6 p.m. Saturday, May 27 — The fabulous Ray Pittman. Beach, blues and soul.
• 6-8 p.m. Saturday, May 27 — No. 1 Blues Billboard artist Bobby Messano, Blues Hall of Fame.
• 5-6 p.m. Saturday, June 24 — Sincerely Iris, on the road again with Todd Murray.
• 6-8 p.m. Saturday, June 24 — Mike and Amy Aiken Band, Country with an Ocean View.
• 5-6 p.m. Saturday, July 22 — TBA.
• 6-8 p.m. Saturday, July 22 — Rip Tide, voted No. 1 “Rivah” band 2021-2022.
• 5-6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26 — Ali Thibodeau, “Deau Eyes,” alternative pop with a little bit of punk.
• 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26 — Stuck on a Name band, Let’s reggae, island breezes.
• 5-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2 — Labor Day Bonus Groovin’, Toby Gillie and the Unpredictables.
• 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2 — Josh Walker Quartet with Carla Jackson, Standards.
• 5:30-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 — Tom Euler, Unplugged, acoustic originals, very special.
• 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 — The Tom Euler Trio, special performance, blues to the max, a Deltaville Maritime Museum performing arts presentation.
Regular performance tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate. Special performance tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate
As you all know, Groovin’ is one of DMM’s major fundraisers. Remember, there is always the possibility of a sell-out this year, so please get your tickets early. Tickets are available now at the DMM office, online and soon at Nauti Nell’s store in Deltaville. Watch our website and the Southside Sentinel for updates.
If you are a DMM member in good standing and have not received your member’s benefit advance ticket letter and flyer, please call the museum office and make sure our mailing list is updated. See all contact information in the last paragraph.
The waterfront park, Groovin’s venue gets more user-friendly every year as we strive to improve this wonderful, natural facility. As always, there is plenty of convenient parking and drive-through/drop-off availability.
Members only can buy advance ticket packages for all seven shows right now at the Museum office or online. The Member’s Package, available only thru 4 p.m. on May 6, saves $5 over advance sales prices, and $40 over the price at the door. Regular tickets can be used at any of the five regular concerts. The two special performances will have their own unique tickets. We encourage everyone to take this perfect opportunity to join the museum with all the benefits of membership, take advantage of the member’s advance ticket package, and still save money.
Groovin’ is a rain or shine event.
The wonderful sound and light system provided and meticulously operated by sound engineer Jan Williams will be back and ready to bring the music off the stage to you.
Deltaville Maritime Museum and Holly Point Nature Park are located in Deltaville at 287 Jackson Creek Road, and by water on Mill Creek. To get to DMM, follow General Puller Highway (Route 33) east through Deltaville and turn right across from the Citgo convenience store.
