LANCASTER—Kilmarnock Town Centre Park will soon welcome Music on the Half Shell Stage for 2021, presented by Chesapeake Bank and the Town of Kilmarnock.
“We are super excited to welcome some amazing local performers as well as performers from the region,” said Mayor Mae Umphlett. “We all know how hard last year was and we are thrilled to be able to offer music back into the community.”
Concerts will be held from 7-9:30 p.m. New this year is the option to bring a picnic dinner, reported community development coordinator Ashley Jones. No outside alcohol or glass will be allowed and all bags are subject to search to ensure the safety of all guests.
Food vendors will still be on site and beverages for the whole family will be available for purchase, said Jones. Lancaster by the Bay Chamber will sponsor adult beverage sales.
COVID-19 Guidelines and Rules will apply to all events. Masks must be worn until seated, she said. Seating will be spread out and people are asked to comply with social distancing expectations set forth by the Commonwealth.
Each concert will be a ticketed event, said Jones. Tickets will be sold at kilmarnockva.ticketleap.com and at the door. Children younger than 5 are free with a paying adult ticket of $10.
“Chesapeake Bank is so excited to partner with and support the Town of Kilmarnock and their efforts to bring back the Music on the Half Shell summer concert såeries. We are so ready to see everyone at this amazing community event,” said marketing director Paula Milsted.
