COMPASS Entertainment Complex to open Sept. 4

LANCASTER—COMPASS Entertainment Complex, a multi-screen movie cinema and family entertainment center, will open September 4.

The complex, 100 Entertainment Drive, Irvington, includes an arcade, bumper cars, batting cages, mini-golf, go-karts, climbing walls, a virtual reality arena and rope courses, as well as the Northern Neck’s first multi-screen movie theater. The venue also includes a full-service restaurant, Meridian Bar & Grill.

The facility will be following Virginia Department of Health and CDC guidelines for safe operations with social distancing, a face-covering requirement for all patrons and employees, and regularly scheduled cleanings of all attractions, according to owners Julien Patterson and Terri Wesselman. Numerous hand sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the complex.

“We can not wait to open our doors to the public, but we will do it safely for everyone involved,” said Patterson. “We are very conscious of the safety of our guests and employees, and we’re happy about how it has come together. We will continue to adjust our protocols to protect the safety of the families who visit…over the coming weeks and months.”

Visitors are encouraged to book their visits in advance on COMPASS’ website to reserve times and certain attractions.

“We love this community and are proud to bring this entertainment center to our friends and neighbors,” said Wesselman. “We’re bringing a variety of new experiences to the Northern Neck, something for everyone, and can’t wait to share it.”
