Blue Crab Arts and Crafts Fest July 1 & 2

MIDDLESEX––Need something fun to do on July 1 and 2? Consider Hartfield’s 2023 Blue Crab Arts and Crafts Festival at Hartfield croquet club.

The festival will take place 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on the grounds of the Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club, 1860 Twiggs Ferry Road, Hartfield.  This event features original, handcrafted works of art with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship. There will be 60 or more vendors, including food trucks, steamed crabs, arts, crafts, and many other items for sale. There will be music, a beer/wine garden, and great activities for people of all ages. In addition to good food and music, activities include, free croquet lessons and games, free lawn bowling lessons, and games, a professionally-run shooting gallery at the Middlesex Shooting Sports Club (MSSC) range next door, and shopping for unique and interesting items at vendor booths.

The vendors, music, and beer/wine garden are in the shade, under a large pine tree stand. There is no charge to attend or park and the festival will go on rain or shine.

The host of this festival, the Chesapeake Bay Croquet Club, is celebrating its new expansion to 24 championship-grade courts, making it the largest croquet facility in the world.
